New Journal Article: A Keynote Address – A Guide to Supporting Conference Speakers with Lived Experience of Cleft Lip and/or Palate

Following on from our panel discussion at Edinburgh 2022, Danielle McWilliams, Dr Amanda Bates, and myself have been working away behind the scenes, putting together an article for the Cleft Palate Craniofacial Journal about making the most of lived experience representation at conferences and ensuring that people with lived experience are well supported throughout. We wrote this considering a cleft conference perspective (as that is where our lived experience lies), but we recognise that many of the key messages will be similar or the same across the disability sector.

The article is open access which means that it is not behind a paywall, and anyone can access it whether you are affiliated with a university or not (thank you to the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) for covering the costs of open access to make it freely available for all – equity is what we’re here for!)
